FAQ

How accurate is this?
It's a close estimate for a salaried resident individual under 60. It doesn't handle capital gains, surcharge on very high incomes, or marginal relief. Confirm with a CA before filing.
What is the new-regime rebate?
For FY 2025-26, Section 87A means a resident pays no tax if taxable income (after the ₹75,000 standard deduction) is up to ₹12,00,000 in the new regime — so roughly ₹12.75 lakh of salary. In the old regime the rebate threshold stays at ₹5,00,000.
